At Second Chance, we make families. We’re a privately-funded animal rescue organization dedicated to rehoming animals and supporting relationships between people and pets. We do this through acts of rescue, adoption and education. We’re always striving to increase the number of animals we help every year, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing staff, donors, volunteers and foster families.

The opportunities for our volunteers are endless. If you have a heart for animals and the time to give, we would love your help caring for our animals, working in our adoption center, staffing events and advocating for Second Chance.

We are a privately funded, 501c3 nonprofit corporation. To support our mission of rescuing animals, you can make a secure donation on our website or help supply items like food, collars and cleaning products through our Amazon Wishlist.

Foster a Pet with Second Chance
Our Animal Rescue Relies Heavily on Foster Families
Second Chance wouldn’t be possible without foster families. In fact, all of our adoptable dogs and over 70% of our cats reside in foster care. Fostering is so important because it gives our animals the opportunity to learn how to be part of a family before moving on to their forever homes. We will work closely with you to find the right foster match. All you have to do is open your heart and home, and we will take care of the rest!
