Executive Director   Giulia was born in Palermo, Sicily and immediately exhibited a strong passion for helping animals. Moving to Chicago, IL in 1997 she spent much of her early life volunteering with various animal related organizations and finally beginning work in a boarding kennel. Her passion continued as she made her way to Columbia, Missouri to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Giulia started fostering medically difficult cases for Second Chance in 2015 and was ultimately hired as the Volunteer and Foster Coordinator in July 2016, also taking on the medical coordination for SC. Giulia shares her home with her husband, son and many SC alumni dogs and cats.
