Board Member   When Barb found herself with a nest empty of both children and pets, she thought she’d spend some time pet-free, but her house truly didn’t feel like a home without a dog...plus she had to clean up her own dropped food when cooking!Barb took in her first foster dog in March of 2019. With dozens of dogs adopted out, she started helping with cat intake and with finding other volunteers. Thinking her volunteer coordination and non-profit experience could be helpful Second Chance, she applied to be on the Board and started service in 2022. She’s looking forward to helping to grow the foster programs and work with other organizations to keep more pets in homes.
